Day Sail on Makali'i with Captain Chadd Paishon
Learn about ancient Hawaiian voyaging up close and personal with this day sail on the double-hulled wa'a (canoe) Makali'i for up to six (6) people.  Normally reserved for school groups and educational organizations, this is your chance to sail on a traditional Hawaiian canoe with experienced Captain Chadd Paishon, one of just five navigators inducted into Pwo, the degree of the Weriyeng School of Navigation of Micronesia by Mau Piailug.  The Makali'i, named after the Hawaiian name for the celestial constellation known as Pleiades, is part of the non-profit Na Kalai Wa'a founded in 1993 to preserve, protect, and perpetuate Hawaiian culture through teaching navigation and open-ocean voyaging.  Your Makali'i sail will include brief instruction on traditional Hawaiian star names and constellations, weather forecasting, ocean forms and wildlife, and seamanship. This is sure to be a spectacular and unforgettable experience.
Thirty-day advance notice required. Sail must take place between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m Monday through Friday. and will depart from Kawaihae Harbor. Weather may be cause for sail to be postponed to a later date. Expires 3-03-19.

"Kukio Study" by Harry Wishard
Born and raised on Hawai'i Island, Harry Wishard has been surrounded by the beauty of his island home from an early age.  This inspiration has led him to paint what he sees with almost photographic realism, where for a brief moment the world stops. This giclee print titled "KukioStudy" of Kuki'o beach located by the Four Seasons Hualalai features Wishard's signature realistic style and leaves you almost able to feel the wind against your cheek and hear the waves lapping on the shore. Autographed Ukulele
This one-of-a-kind pineapple shaped mahogany ukulele is autographed by eight (8) Hawai'i musicians from Kahilu Theatre's 2017 Ukulele and Slack Key Guitar Festival including:  Sonny Lim, Jeff Peterson, Nathan Aweau, Benny Chong, Ledward Kaapana, Mike Kaawa, Iaukea Bright, and Abe Lagrimas, Jr.  This piece of art features the shape of Hawai'i Island engraved on the headstock.

Their mission was to create a single wine dedicated to the pursuit of uncompromising quality.  Each stage of their winemaking process is afforded meticulous consideration and attention, from tasting berries to extended aging in French oak barrels for 18 months before its highly anticipated release on October 1 of each year.

Kilauea Volcano 30th Anniversary Print by Ethan Tweedie
Parker alumnus and professional photographer Ethan Tweedie '85 captured this image at dawn on the 30th anniversary of the current eruption at Kilauea Volcano in Hawai’i Volcano National Park, which began on January 3, 1983.  This incredible image printed on metal of lava dripping into the Pacific Ocean measures approximately 20” by 30” and was seen around the world on NBC National News, The Weather Channel and on KGMB in Hawai’i.  Ethan credits his love of photography starting during his time at Parker School thanks to teacher and former Honolulu Star-Bulletin Chief Photographer Warren Roll.  Ethan’s photography has been featured in Architectural Digest, National Geographic, Forbes Magazine and more.
